Quality Control
The Quality Control Department has been fully refurbished and comprises two laboratories - Chemical Analysis & Testing and Microbiology. New instruments are added constantly as part of our drive to keep the company’s array of analysis methods up to date so as to produce high quality products and maintain our competitive advantage.
The department has the following remit:
- to carry out samplings, inspections and chemical analyses for each batch of raw and packaging materials, intermediate or final product
- to run checks during production and packaging
- to perform microbiological analyses in order to determine the microbial load in a finished product, packaging materials, water used, and ambient air
- to document all its work and keep records thereof.
The dynamic step change from a Quality Control to a Quality Assurance Department mainly revolves around the observance of Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines, aiming for safe and compliant final products.
